Wedu Hosting at SOCAP 2014

1568-1407430746

Mario Ferro, Wedu’s co-founder is taking on a new exciting opportunity, playing host to a discussion centered on Innovative Investments in Education. This should come as no surprise as Wedu is preparing to launch our Future Income Sharing Agreement (FISA), an innovative financial support option that will make university education much more affordable for thousands in Asia! When this will be launched at the end of September, it will be the first of its kind in Asia, so we are really invested and excited about this subject!

This Thursday, September 4, Mario will be moderating a session called “Putting Humans Before Capital: Innovative Investments in Education”.  Joining him at Social Capital Markets (SOCAP) session will be the following well established professionals:

        • Kate Cochran, Director, Vittana Education Fund, Vittanna
        • Stuart Davidson, Senior Managing Director/Partner for Sonen Capital/Labrador Ventures
        • Claudine Emeott, Director Strategic Initiatives, Kiva

SOCAP is the world’s leading conference on social enterprise and impact investing and “is dedicated towards increasing the flow of social capital towards social good.” Wedu is thrilled to be part of the bigger conversation of impact investing as we continue our mission of unlocking the leadership potential of women through mentorship and innovative financing.

We value and seek input from our international community and Wedu would love for you to join Mario for the conversation on Thursday, September 4 between 11AM – 12PM PST.
