Funding Needs

Income Sharing Agreements (ISAs) are different from scholarships and loans. It is an agreement between you and the Wedu Community that you will pay forward a percentage of your future monthly income for a set number of years to enable other women to achieve their education goals.

The maximum amount of funding you can request is USD 5,000.

Select all that apply.

Note: Disbursals occur on a rolling basis within an indicative time frame of 30–45 days from application to disbursal.

Please explain your financial situation in detail. If you need urgent funding, please explain why.

Please include both successful and unsuccessful sources. This may include scholarships or grants, student loans, personal savings/income, family support, or crowdfunding or community funds.

Please download the budget form the clickable link above.

Note: What does “pay it forward” mean at Wedu? After completing your studies and once employed, you’ll contribute a small percentage of your monthly income for a set number of years. These contributions help fund educational opportunities for other women across Asia through Wedu’s ISA programme. If you receive the funding, you will make monthly contributions for the duration of the contract. While still studying or involuntarily unemployed, contributions are fixed at US$ 2 per month to build regular contribution habits. Upon employment, monthly contributions switch over to the agreed-upon income percentage (e.g. 7% of earnings for 7 years).
