Every year, we celebrate the women in the Wedu Community whose professional and personal journeys are a testament to building a fairer future.

Launching the 2025 Edition

This year we spotlight women who are transforming their communities through their work with climate resilience, care leadership, and economic empowerment.

For the first time ever, the Awards will also honour the invaluable allies who volunteer their time and expertise to uplifting women across the region. Accompanying the three award categories for Women Leaders, is our first ever award for mentors.

In 2024, we hosted the first ever Wedu Women’s Leadership Awards, which celebrated the women leaders who model the four core values at Wedu: taking purposeful action, building collective power, showing up with courage, and leading by example.

The inaugural Wedu Women’s Leadership Awards received 76 nominees, brought together a panel of 12 juries, and a shortlist of 37 finalists. Meet the 2024 finalists here: Purposeful Action Agent, Collective Power Catalyst, Courageous Changemaker, Feminist Role Model.

The Awards culminate at our Awards Ceremony, a special gathering that brings together the entire Wedu community – Rising Stars, Mentors, programme participants, donors, and allies.
