Women in discussion, leaders

Introduction to Leadership

Leadership begins before permission.

You don’t need a title, years of experience, or everything figured out to be a leader.

Every day, women are making decisions, supporting others, navigating uncertainty, balancing responsibilities, and creating change in their communities. Leadership already exists in these moments.

The Introduction to Leadership (ITL) is an 8-week online learning journey designed to help you discover your leadership purpose, strengthen practical leadership skills, and create a personalised roadmap for growth, grounded in Wedu’s 7 Dimensions of Leadership.

Whether you’re exploring your next step, navigating a transition, building confidence, or seeking a supportive community, ITL offers a space to reflect, learn, and grow alongside women from across South and Southeast Asia.

Exploring ITL

You may already be leading if you are…

  • Supporting your family while pursuing your own goals
  • Helping your community respond to challenges
  • Taking initiative at school, work, or in volunteer spaces
  • Navigating a career, education, or life transition
  • Encouraging and supporting others to grow
  • Making difficult decisions despite uncertainty

Leadership is not reserved for people with formal positions. It begins with everyday actions, relationships, values, and choices.

The question isn’t whether you’re already leading.

The question is: what kind of leader do you want to become?

Leadership starts with knowing yourself.

The ITL offers a practical and reflective introduction to leadership for women who are exploring their purpose, navigating transitions, building confidence, or looking for a supportive community of peers.

Through guided learning, reflection exercises, and shared experiences, you’ll explore:

  • What leadership means to you
  • The values that guide your decisions
  • How to navigate self-doubt and uncertainty
  • Practical tools for setting meaningful goals
  • How to create a personal leadership development plan

Rather than teaching you how to become a leader, ITL helps you recognise and strengthen the leader you are already becoming.
