Back to News Wedu receives USD 40,000 unrestricted grant from The Millby Foundation 17 August 2026 News Topics Funding Wedu is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Millby Foundation, a UK-based private family foundation dedicated to advancing gender equality by supporting girls and young women in the UK and Southeast Asia. Through this partnership, the foundation has awarded Wedu an unrestricted grant of USD 40,000 in support of our mission to enable women leaders across South and Southeast Asia. Flexible funding plays an important role in advancing lasting social change. By providing unrestricted support, The Millby Foundation is enabling Wedu to direct resources where they are needed most, strengthening our ability to respond to emerging opportunities, invest in organisational sustainability, and continue delivering programmes that support women throughout their leadership journeys. The grant will contribute to Wedu’s work across leadership development, mentorship, education financing, and regional community-building, while advancing our strategic focus on Capability, Capital, and Community. It also provides the flexibility to strengthen the systems and infrastructure that make this work possible, ensuring we can continue supporting women leaders in ways that are responsive, relevant, and sustainable. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for women to lead and create change in their communities and beyond. We are grateful to The Millby Foundation for their trust in Wedu’s mission and for investing in the long-term work of advancing women’s leadership across South and Southeast Asia. Together, we continue working towards a world where half of all leaders are women.
